Today on Behind The Brand, Seth Godin details everything you (probably) don’t know about marketing. Marketing is often a misunderstood concept often viewed as simply creating demand and driving brand awareness. Seth Godin dispels this view by explaining the difference between brand marketing and direct marketing, evaluating the value of a brand in marketing, and reviewing key differences between psychographic and demographic marketing.
His great insight into what we don’t know about marketing is adopted from his bestseller – Seth Godin, This Is Marketing.

This has been information GOLD. I’m trying to sharpen my marketing know how and this changed a lot of the way I think about marketing.
Thank you both for this.
Old school ideas repackaged with liberal cultural overtones. It's ALWAYS about perception. My take is the parable about 'the Emperor's New Clothes'
Fantastic video/ Thank you very much
Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it.
Wow … good stuff thank you 🙏🇹🇹
i don't know how it's 'brave' of nike to 'take a stand' by literally echoing a global sentiment that every other corporation has been in line with since the dawn of ESG scores and the extreme media bias we started to see more through social media.
nike can't fail, in large part based on the point he mentioned about their overseas sales. is nike going around making bold political statements in countries where the politics are much more deadly or dangerous? no. are they making a statement that is against the ESG scoring system's values? no. so it isn't bravery, it's simply a form of expression designed to get people talking about it. in some sense it was designed to generate the anger and the feuds. not to stand for anything. pick the side the establishment supports and make an overt reference to one of its points, voila you have a controversy, and you're on the safe side of it.
Guys I love your channel! Amazing amazing stuff. One is getting the right set of guests, but what I believe is more important is asking the right set of questions to get the best out from them. You do it superbly!
Did you advertise B2C? What are the features?
Cosmos=quantum potential (Dirac)! Life=molecular one(Dawkins)! Consciousness=memetic one (Dennet)!
I like the indirect ad for Warby
im looking to rebrand n stumble on this video glad I did
IMMA GET ME SOME NIKE SNEAKERS TO HANG AROUND IN THE SOFA
This is a video I put it in watch later, today I finally watch over it. It's a good idea to just be true to some people 💗–" What's in here? " I'm a person only could be who I am and think more for others.
Every Marketer needs to watch this once a year!! Thanks Bryan!

It requires money to make money this is the best secert I have ever heard we don't make money we make multiple money.
Great interview
Siding with Colin Kaepernick was retarded they literally alienated half of the country. Don't give credit to this woke culture bs
This is amazing 😻
DID ANYONE GET PROPER ADVICE OUT OF THIS VIDEO ? OR AM I THE ONLY ONE TO FEEL LIKE I LEARNED NOTHING CONCRETE
This algorithm is dropping serious wisdom on me!☀️🔥
I actually needed to hear this. I actually started a tax prep and bookkeeping business a couple months ago. The problem I'm having is marketing. I already have a website and made Facebook ads showing the services we offer and even gave discounts. Yes, I'm getting lots of like on my ads but I'm not getting as many clients as I was expecting. Should I continue what I'm doing or is there something I'm missing?
I think it’s powerful how Seth (and a few other powerhouses) acknowledge the need for EMPATHY when dealing with people, in all fields, but especially from a marketing and sales perspective. Great interview.
Nike sucks
He's been saying marketing is about getting permission and making offers for them since 1999, but I like these brand vs direct marketing observations.
Marketers make change happen!
How many ads?
Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance wealth, a great career, purpose is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life
I actually Read Articles of Investors Who mentioned HELEN CARTER and making a lot of Money yesterday from Crypto. Please how can I reach Her?
What is the best way to make money from investing now please
MY portfolio has good companies, however they have been red all this year. This is my first year of investing and have been down 35% in the March/April sell off, and now down 17% in this sell off. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me nervous and sad. I don't know if I should sell everything or just sit and wait.
Btw kap is not “brave” the man couldn’t beat out Blaine gabbert for a starting job so he started money grabbing by putting the spot light on himself, probably the least brave thing you could do, very selfish and mindless though
Nike: a company using underpaid underage labor to make their products trying to use a rich athlete who played the system to get paid for sitting on his behind for lecturing us the people about inequality and how to treat people. It’s okay I got the Giannis shoe and other than that Jordan is a smart man.
Thank you for the interview! Very insightful
value of the brand: how much extra I am paying comparing to substitute…Also volume is important..balenciaga and nike is not same but nike is selling in a high volume
